Volunteer Grant/Bid Writer

 

 

Hours: 2–3 per week (flexible)

Location: Remote

Type: Voluntary (may become paid as WellWalk CiC grows)

About WellWalk CiC

WellWalk CiC helps people improve their wellbeing through walking,

connection and shared purpose. We tackle social isolation, build confidence

and create inclusive opportunities for people to feel part of their community.

Role Purpose

We’re looking for a Volunteer Grant/Bid Writer to help secure funding for our

walking‑for‑wellbeing projects. You’ll support our growth and help us expand

our impact across local communities.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify grant opportunities

  • Write, edit and submit funding applications

  • Work with Libby Croft and the team to align bids with project goals

  • Keep simple records of applications and outcomes

  • Contribute ideas to strengthen our funding strategy

 What We’re Looking For

  • Experience or strong interest in grant/bid writing

  • Great written communication and attention to detail

  • Able to work independently and manage time well

  • Passion for community wellbeing and reducing isolation

  • Kindness, inclusivity and a team‑focused mindset

Volunteer Walk Buddy 
 

Flexible role • 1–2 walks per week •
Local, face‑to‑face volunteering
 

WellWalk CiC supports people to feel more confident, connected, and active through gentle walking and friendly companionship. Many of the individuals we walk with experience isolation, low confidence, or health challenges that make it difficult to get out alone.

What You’ll Do

  • Walk locally with someone who would benefit from support and company

  • Offer encouragement, conversation, and a friendly presence

  • Help build confidence for people who may feel anxious or isolated

  • Communicate any updates or concerns to the WellWalk team

  • Represent our values of kindness, inclusivity, and community connection

  • Reliable and comfortable walking at a gentle pace

  • Respectful of boundaries, confidentiality, and safeguarding
